There have been several digital versions in the past of interactive cubes ( i.e Futuro, Spark, etc.), however, none of them kept the basic playing experience (rotating the cube pieces) that made the original cube so popular. Lately, a couple of similar smart cube concepts (as GoCube) were presented, most of them are at an initial proof of concept stage, while the first one (based in China) was recently released.
Some customers have asked about GoCube’s unique features, and here they are:
GoCube is a sticker-less speedcube, with high-quality plastic, fine modern design, and light indications.
The tracking mechanism is based on contact-less sensing (rather than mechanical contacts), which assures long life, high reliability, and zero friction.
GoCube enables high tracking resolution (time and rotations), thus enabling the ability to accurately measure performances.
GoCube has an internal IMU to display the real cube position/orientation on-screen (extremely important for beginners).
GoCube uses a new Bluetooth 5.0 for a longer range and higher data rate.
Finally, unlike the other concepts, which focus on a solo playing experience, GoCube provides online community features such as versus mode, competitions, leaderboard, and more.
